Welcome to the Chicago Rose of Tralee Website!
We are now looking for the 2009 Chicago Rose to participate in the Rose of Tralee International Festival held in Tralee, Ireland. Every August, talented young women of Irish descent come from around the world to compete to be the next Rose of Tralee. The Chicago Rose of Tralee Centre sponsors one young woman who will represent Chicago’s Irish American community on an international stage broadcast live for two consecutive nights.
In preparation for the Rose of Tralee International Festival, the Chicago Rose of Tralee Centre invites young Irish American women living in the Chicagoland area to join us on a year-long journey. Although only one young woman will be chosen to represent Chicago in the Rose of Tralee International Festival, all of our participants will benefit from a variety of events which will enrich their appreciation of their Irish heritage and ideals. It is our goal to prepare the next generation of Irish American women to succeed as civic and business leaders committed to making a difference in the world.
