Chicago Rose 2011
We are looking for young ladies, age 18-27, of Irish heritage that would like to represent Chicago in Tralee Ireland at the Rose of Tralee International Festival. The winner of the Midwest Rose of Tralee will represent the Irish American community and Chicago as she competes for the “International Rose of Tralee” title with other candidates from all over the world.
Click here for a Preliminary Rose Application. Please fill this out completely and mail to the address listed along with a 3X5 photo. Please hurry, as there are only 40 spots available. You must have your FREE preliminary application in the hands of the Chicago Rose of Tralee Committee no later than January 31, 2011. If you are chosen as one of the finalists, you must secure a $500.00 sponsorship fee for your entry into the Chicago Contest to be held on March 11, 2011 during the Irish American Heritage Center Festival weekend. Under the sponsorship opportunities tab, please find “Friend of the Rose” sponsorship opportunities. This is a great way to have a business sponsor your participation fee. This fee will include your two-night stay accommodations.
The Chicago Rose Selection will take place in the elegant Erin Ballroom and the 40 winners will participate in the entire weekend festival that will include bands, vendors, parades and more! The staged event will be held Friday and the winner will be announced Saturday evening.
The 2011 Chicago Rose will receive:

A round trip ticket to Ireland to participate in the Rose of Tralee Regional held June 2-7th.
And, if chosen as the winner of the Regional Selection return again to Tralee from August 17-24th.
